Register on the GoRoute SMP
This is the browser walkthrough for SMP-as-a-Service โ no API required. For the machine-driven equivalent see SMP Registration. A print-ready version of this guide is available as a branded PDF.
An email address, your company's legal name and country, your business identifier
(Australia: ABN, scheme 0151 ยท New Zealand: NZBN, scheme 0088 ยท Oman: VATIN,
scheme 0248 ยท elsewhere: your company/VAT registration number), and your
Access Point choice โ GoRoute's AP needs nothing; your own or another provider's
AP needs its https AS4 endpoint URL and public AP certificate (PEM).
Step 1 โ Create your free accountโ
Go to goroute.ai/smp โ Start SMP Registration โ Create a free account. The verification code arrives from admin@goroute.ai. The account exists only to prove who controls the registration โ SMP-only customers never need any other GoRoute product.
Step 2 โ Business detailsโ
Legal name, country, your legal identifier (the field is labelled for your country, e.g. ABN (11 digits)), and a contact email. The identifier pre-fills the next step.
Step 3 โ Participantsโ
Each participant is one scheme:identifier โ for most companies exactly the business
number from step 2, pre-filled with the right scheme. Press Add; repeat for
subsidiaries or additional registrations.
A registration run advertises the document types of one country. Participants from another country go in a separate run. A participant that is already registered never re-enters the wizard โ it lives on the SMP Dashboard.
Step 4 โ Access Pointโ
Choose GoRoute's Access Point, your own AP, or another provider's AP. For the latter two, paste the AS4 endpoint (https) and the AP certificate (PEM) โ the pair is validated, and certificate expiry is tracked on your dashboard.
Step 5 โ Review & registerโ
The document types checklist shows your country's curated set, defaults pre-selected. For Australia and New Zealand that is PINT A-NZ Invoice and Credit Note, published exactly as GoRoute's ATO accreditation requires; Self-Billing, Ordering, Despatch Advice and EU BIS are opt-in โ tick them only if your Access Point handles them. Choose Register now (discoverable immediately) or Save for later.
Everything up to this point is free โ the account, the wizard, saving participants. Publishing on the live Peppol network requires the SMP service subscription (priced per organisation on goroute.ai/smp, billed in USD through Stripe). If you are not subscribed when you press Register, a checkout opens, returns you straight back to the wizard, and your saved entries publish on the next click. Card details never touch GoRoute โ Stripe hosts checkout, invoices and the self-serve billing portal (reachable from the dashboard's Plan & billing panel).
Step 6 โ Verifyโ
The final step runs a live public lookup โ the same query any Peppol sender performs โ showing your business card and document types as the network sees them.
Billing afterwardsโ
The dashboard's Plan & billing strip shows your subscription state (Active / Payment issue / Not subscribed), the renewal date, and one action โ Subscribe, or Manage billing which opens the Stripe customer portal (card changes, invoice history, cancellation). Already-published participants are never taken off the network over billing, and deregistration always works regardless of subscription state.
